An Apple Cider Vinegar A Day
Many of the blogs this month are tips and tricks for keeping my immune system strong. One of my easiest home remedies for keeping a cold away is drinking an apple cider vinegar beverage. The fermenting that produces apple cider vinegar creates a probiotic-rich food that I think boosts my immune system. The probiotics are found mostly in the stringy and cloudy strands, known as the mother, found floating in organic, unpasteurized, apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar drinks can be purchased in most grocery stores but I make my own by adding 2 teaspoons of vinegar to 2 cups of filtered water. Other ingredients may be added, ginger, cayenne pepper, fruit juices, and honey or stevia for a few; but, I enjoy it plain.
