I want to create a new morning ritual. As I express thanks for the smoothie in my glass or the beverage in my cup, I want to remember to pray for those who worked to provide the ingredients: the businesses, the employees, the laborers.
I also need to remember those who transported the coffee for my mug or the  cacao I sip through my straw, glass of course.

A bit of January 3rd trivia: A patent for artificial drinking straws was issued on this date in 1888, to Marvin C. Stone. They were rolled by hand, using paraffin-coated paper. That makes January 3rd--National Drinking Straw Day.
