Key West "Painted Ladies" and a Fruit Smoothie
According to Wikipedia "Painted ladies" is a term used for Victorian and Edwardian houses and buildings painted in three or more colors that embellish or enhance their architectural details. Although this term was first used for the houses of San Francisco, it is now used to describe houses in many other cities. As you can see, Key West has some beautiful "painted ladies".
Historic homes which have withstood the fires and storms that have ravaged the city.
Homes with welcoming front porches inviting you to sit and rock and share some tea and scones.
But when you sit on my front porch this week, all I will offer you is some green juice or a fruit smoothie.
This morning I'm blending up a Very Berry Smoothie for breakfast.
I put the following ingredients in my blender: 1/2 cup Grape Juice, 2Tablespoons Aloe, 1/2 cup Kefir.
Peel, remove any seeds, and chop 1 Orange, 1 Lime, 1 Apple (it was non-organic). Add to blender with a handful of Parsley.
Add 1 scoop Sun Warrior Vanilla Raw Protein, 2 teaspoons Sun Warrior Super Greens, 1 teaspoon Ceylon Cinnamon. These are the basic additives, additional herbs, spirulina, etc. may also be added at this time.
Top the blender off with 1 cup of frozen mixed berries (organic was not available).
Press the smoothie button and in a few seconds breakfast is ready.
